Super Human Play on Tues., June 25:

Save the Dirt! Like to pretend? Super human play is a series of experiments, exercises, games and obstacles from Tinker Tree’s playroom. Get strong to prepare for the work ahead- saving the earth from bad guys. Learn about the home of the worms, a dynamic system that turns tiny seeds into nutritious food for our strong bodies. Test and challenge your muscles with b0bles, recycled weights and pillows. 4:30-6 – RSVP in advance ($20 museum admission plus $5 materials fee; best for kids 2 1/2-5 with active adult participation; come dressed to move).

A concert with Sing-along Steve on Wed. at 3 pm!  Join us for a special surprise concert with Singalong Steve and his entire band. This is going to ROCK! ($15 adults, kids free)

Our MamaBlogger365 project continues online, where we welcome writers who share their stories about re-framing motherhood. We are so grateful to *Dr Mama* Amber Kinser, Mary Rekosh, Valerie Poulin, Jennifer Flaten, Elynne Chaplik-Aleskow for their blog posts this week!

Museum of Motherhood

Meanwhile, our Meet the Experts series continues in June, featuring speakers, activities, mom and baby groups, and support groups. We’re located at 401 E. 84th St. in New York (Tues-Sun 10:45-6:30, call 212.452.9816 l 877.711.MOMS for info). Click here for our full month’s calendar of events.

Meet this week’s Experts:

Tuesday: Join Miriama Duncan, MSW for a new moms group: Is This Normal? Join Miriama for groups and ongoing discussions every Tuesday from 10:50-Noon.

Wednesday: BirthFocus, LLC answers your childbirth, early infant and lactation questions from 2 pm-5 pm. Come enjoy sample Prenatal & Mama Rub Down Massage – Tiffany R. Adams, licensed massage therapist, will be at M.O.M. from 4-6 pm (10 min for $15, 20 min for $20).

Thursday: Come talk to Renee Sullivan of MommyBites, parent coach and fellow mom, at 10:40 am. Bring your new mom questions – from work/life balance and sleep schedules to developmental milestones and juggling new motherhood. Renee leads weekly moms groups throughout New York City and is available to answer your questions. Plus, Renee hosts private moms groups at M.O.M.: 12pm – 1pm (moms w/ babies 0-6 months) and 1pm – 2pm (moms w/babies 6-12 months).

Friday: Meet Sara Lise Raff, Arts Ed Consultant! Sara was born and raised in NYC with vast exposure to the arts and culture New York has to offer. Serving as an advisor, mentor and guide, she utilizes her early education experience to navigate the NYC school system, and offer guidance in many areas. She also hosts and creates Mom Salons – 10:50am-12:05pm.

FEES – All programs include regular day-pass fee of $15 per adult, kids free, students $13, unless otherwise noted.
